— About AcquiroLab

The space between Main Street and Wall Street is where we live.

A $300K main-street sale gets a generalist broker. A $20M deal gets an investment bank. AcquiroLab is built specifically for the lower-middle-market businesses in between.

AcquiroLab is a US-wide M&A advisory firm specializing in transactions in the $1M to $5M sale value range. We work with business owners planning exits, individual buyers and search funds acquiring their first business, and family offices building portfolios of operating companies.

What we believe

The lower-middle-market is the most under-served segment of business sales in the United States. Owners of $1M to $5M businesses face the same complexity as larger deals — adjusted earnings, quality of earnings expectations, structured deal terms, working capital adjustments, escrow, indemnification — but without the resources or fee budgets to engage a full investment bank.

The result is that most of these owners end up working with generalist business brokers whose process was designed for sub-$1M Main Street businesses. The buyer experience is mismatched, the valuation methodology is mismatched, and the eventual transaction terms reflect that gap.

We built AcquiroLab to close that gap. Same rigor as a larger deal, sized appropriately for the market we serve.

How we work

Every engagement starts with diligence on our own work — a defensible valuation, complete financial recasting, and a confidential information memorandum that holds up to scrutiny. From there, the process unfolds in three stages: prepare, market, and close. On the buy-side, we replace marketing with structured sourcing and screening.

We are not a marketplace. We do not publicly list businesses for sale. Every transaction is run confidentially, with qualified-buyer outreach handled directly by our advisory team. Owners decide what gets shared with whom.

Who we are

AcquiroLab is led by a small team of M&A advisors with backgrounds spanning private equity, business brokerage, certified valuation, and operating roles in middle-market companies. We are intentionally small. The advisor you talk to on the first call is the advisor who runs your transaction.

Our content team includes credentialed M&A professionals who author and review the technical guidance published on this site. All financial, tax, and deal-structure content is reviewed for accuracy before publication.

Where we work

United States only. We work with businesses headquartered in any state, with deepest specialization across home services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping), manufacturing, distribution, professional services, IT services and managed service providers, self-storage, and medical practices. We are happy to take a first call from owners in any industry.

— What we don't do

Things you won't find at AcquiroLab.

A public marketplace

We don't publicly list businesses. Every process is confidential by default. If you want a marketplace, there are good ones — they're just not us.

A franchise broker network

We don't sell franchise resales as a primary line of business. Some of our work touches franchises, but it's incidental to the broader practice.

A volume operation

We work a deliberately small portfolio at any one time. Sell-side engagements get the full attention of a named advisor, not a junior with a checklist.
